I find myself this morning trying to wrap my brain around whats going on in the financial markets. Trying to decipher the true underpinnings of the actions being taken by the government and how they relate to the rest of the political scene.
Is this endless string of corporate bail-outs really necessary?
Is it simply a string of really bad and fiscally un-conservative moves by an incompetent governing body?
Or is it more insidious? Has a lack of discipline in our financial markets opened the door for some entity to do what the soviet empire couldn't? Is this how socialism will slither its way into our economy?
Where Barak Obama can be likened to Darth Maul - The overt face of the threat - openly socialist.
Socialism / Communism is the Sith - an adversary long thought to be extinct.
The Intergalactic Republic is the US
And of course the Senate is the Senate...
The Trade Federation is the Dept of the Treasury. - interesting to note that the trade federation were really just pawns - being used.
So the question is.... who is our Palpatine? Who is Darth Sideous? (Soros?)
Do we find ourselves, like the republic, engaged in battle with the overt threat (Barak "Darth Maul" Obama) whilst the phantom menace of socialism looms in the shadows, waiting for the opportune moment (like last week) to pounce, and begin state control of financial institutions.....
